Invisible Signs
National Council of Social Service
Lockdown – a time of increased isolation and rising anxiety. With WFH being the default, our interactions took place only on virtual meeting platforms, with the cameras off. We would never know if someone’s brows were furrowed with worry. Or if their eyes were puffed up from crying the night before. These subtle signs of struggle became more invisible to us than ever.
So on World Mental Health Day, we started a conversation – one that emphasised the importance of checking in on one another when 'F2F' and 'IRL' were no longer the norm.
